About Pilot Whale Chalets and B&B

The Pilot Whale Chalets and B&B were named after the long finned pilot whales which navigate the coastal waters of Cape Breton, traveling in pods of 10-20 whales. These giant mammals represent nature and adventure which is a fitting match for our chalets and B&B.

We are proud that our properties offer guests a variety of accommodation choices year round – any one of our nine expansive chalets or three charming guest rooms at the B&B.

When our guests chose to stay with Pilot Whale Chalets and B&B they are also choosing a home away from home. Located along the world famous Cabot Trail Highway, you will find spectacular scenery and tranquil views in both St. Joseph du Moine and Chéticamp. The chalets in particular are in a prime location, in the shadow of the towering Cape Breton Highlands National Park and a central location from which to explore the Cabot Trail.

The Chéticamp Region of Nova Scotia has always been famous for its strong sense of Acadian pride and heritage. Our rich history and traditions have been fused into the daily life of our community.
